Community Supported Agriculture

Community Supported Agriculture is a crop share program where a box of vegetables is picked and set aside for you every week during the growing season. Having committed members allows us to plan our crops, use sustainable practices to reduce waste, and provide vegetables at the peak of freshness. 2025 is our seventh year offering a CSA program in the Oshkosh area!

Frequently Asked Questions

What Would You Like to Know?

What is a "CSA" farm?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and works by selling memberships in exchange for a portion of the crop throughout the growing season. This allows small farms like us to have a stable customer base throughout the year which helps us plan what to plant and when to harvest. CSA members acknowledge that they share some of the risks, responsibilities, and environmental stewardship of our farming operations. In exchange for our members' commitment, we strive to maximize the nutrition and freshness of our produce while minimizing our impact on the environment.

How do memberships work?

Sign up for your membership using our membership form on this webpage. One of our team members will follow up with you by email or phone so you can select your membership option, including how to pay and where we will deliver your produce.  Once payment is received you will officially be a member of our CSA program and a box of fresh produce will be delivered to your door directly from our farm.

Is your produce organic?

We are not officially certified as organic by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) due to the barrier in cost to apply for this formal status. However, we strive to be "compliant" with the USDA organic standards: We use organic fertilizer and don't use any pesticides or herbicides. Additionally, we strive to go one step further than organic by being good stewards of the land. This includes fostering soil health and reducing runoff to our local waterways.

What can I expect in my box?

Each week you will receive a mix of produce that is ready for harvest. In the spring, you will see many of our early crops such as salad greens and spring onions. In the summer, you can expect lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, melons, and other vegetables. In the fall, we grow squash and a second round of leafy greens.

A short list of a few things we grow.

  • Asparagus

  • Beets

  • Broccoli

  • Brussels Sprouts

  • Cabbage

  • Carrots

  • Cauliflower

  • Chard

  • Corn

  • Cucumbers

  • Squash

  • Eggplant

  • Kale

  • Kohlrabi

  • Lettuce and Greens

  • Melon

  • Onions

  • Peas

  • Peppers

  • Pumpkins

  • Radishes

  • Spinach

  • Tomatoes

** This is not an all-inclusive list, simply a few examples of what you can expect each week**

Every week members will receive an email with information on what produce is in the boxes as well as some recipe ideas!

What if I can't be home to collect my CSA box?

Our delivery teams start bright and early on Thursday mornings, and are usually done before the lunch hour. If you are unable to be home to collect your CSA box immediately we strongly advise that you leave a cooler with cold ice packs for us to leave your box in. This will keep your produce as fresh as possible until you are able to bring your box inside. Some members also prefer that we deliver to their workplace, to ensure they can collect their box in a timely manner.

What do I do with my empty boxes?

We strive to reduce waste. The boxes we use are food-grade and able to be reused many times. We ask that you leave your empty boxes out near your delivery area so we can take them and reuse them as many times as possible.
